RB: Heel injury a pain management issue
James Conner said today that he’s confident he’ll play Saturday against the Colts. He told me it’ll all come down to pain management in his heel. He added that his ankle is fine. (ESPN – Josh Weinfuss)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Conner was listed as questionable on the final injury report after failing to practice all week. It sounds as if fantasy managers can plan on Conner playing through the pain, but there is also the distinct possibility Arizona won’t know his status for sure until he warms up for Saturday night’s showdown against the Colts. If he plays, he will be a dicey RB2 option that comes with the risk of leaving the game at any time. If he sits, Chase Edmonds would likely get enough work to serve as a solid RB2 option.
