Nerdy Football Analysis: This summer should have been Smith’s opportunity to prove he was lead receiver material, especially with Michael Thomas recovering from surgery. Instead, Marquez Callaway appears to be establishing himself as the primary target in this offense. Whatever luster he had as a potential late-round sleeper is on life support now.
