AC joint sprain; timetable for return unknown
After Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders made a catch that was deemed to be not a catch at the end of regulation in Cleveland, he came up holding his arm in a way that suggested a shoulder or collarbone injury.
Per a league source, it’s an AC joint sprain for Sanders.
It’s currently not clear whether Sanders will miss any time. Fortunately for the Broncos, the bye week is next. In two weeks, they’ll play the Packers on Sunday Night Football. (Pro Football Talk)
Nerdy Football Analysis: HC Gary Kubiak told reporters “expectations are that he’s going to be OK”. Denver will benefit from a well-timed bye in Week 7 before hosting Green Bay in two weeks. In the unlikely event he cannot play in that game, Andre Caldwell and Bennie Fowler might be the two receivers that receive most of the snaps in his absence.
