Pat Shurmur named interim head coach
Today, Jeffrey Lurie, Chairman and CEO of the Philadelphia Eagles, released Head Coach Chip Kelly.
“We appreciate all the contributions that Chip Kelly made and wish him every success going forward,” said Lurie.

Nerdy Football Analysis: Kelly’s up-tempo style will be missed by fantasy owners but the questionable personnel decisions over the last couple years and rocky relationships with a select few players didn’t help his cause. The timing of this move is also interesting. Perhaps the Eagles wasn’t to get a jump on the available head coaching candidates. More to come…
