2nd shoulder surgery since March 2017
Quarterback Cam Newton underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his right shoulder Thursday.
The procedure was successfully performed by Panthers team physician Dr. Pat Connor. Newton’s rehabilitation process will begin immediately.

Nerdy Football Analysis: Newton is expected to be ready for training camp but this is the second shoulder procedure since March of 2017. This latest procedure is reportedly a clean up operation which should come with a shorter recovery time than his previous rotator cuff operation. Newton played in 14 games and finished as the QB7 in fantasy points per game.
