Vikings TE coming off knee injury
Kevin O’Connell says he expects Irv Smith to be full-go at the beginning of training camp, after the #Vikings took it slow with him this spring. They’ll evaluate him every day, but liked how he looked with the group of players who reported early this week, O’Connell said. (Ben Goessling on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Smith missed the 2021 season with a knee injury so it’s a positive sign that he’s not expected to be limited when camp begins. With Tyler Conklin now with the Jets and the Vikings expected to be a little more pass-happy, Irv is a nice late-round target at the tight end position.
