The bigger question at the position was who would be Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s backup. We now have an answer: Darrel Williams, the third-year veteran who was college teammates with Edwards-Helaire at LSU. In splitting most of the first-team repetitions with Edwards-Helaire, Williams has been exceptional at every task in the offense. (The Athletic)
Nerdy Football Analysis: The prevailing wisdom among fantasy owners has been that DeAndre Washington would be the preferred backup to CEH, but it appears Williams is carving out that role. Picking up shares in this offense is never a bad idea so add Williams to your late-round draft options.
