Rookie DeShone Kizer and talented WR establishing connection
Corey Coleman said he’s excited about the possibility of DeShone Kizer taking over as QB. The pair got off to a nice start Saturday against Tampa Bay in Kizer’s first start, hooking up on a 32-yarder down the sideline on third-and-4, an 11-yard slant on third-and-10 from the 1 and a 13-yard out on third-and-9.
“It could be a very bright future for both of us if we keep on doing what we need to do,” Coleman said Monday.

Nerdy Football Analysis: Kizer, the No. 52 pick out of Notre Dame in April, was named the starting quarterback for the season. Coleman, the No. 15 pick out of Baylor in 2016, is expected to fill the role of No. 1 wideout. Both could make for some solid draft day values.
