Nerdy Football Analysis: In a statement, head coach Ron Rivera stated: “I believe it benefits both parties that we go our separate ways.” Washington drafted Haskins in the first round (15th overall) in the 2019 draft. After two seasons, he’s been released. This move indicates Alex Smith will be ready to play in Week 17 against the Eagles.
