Alex Smith’s “hospitals balls” claim Chris Thompson, Adrian Peter
Two Washington running backs left Monday night’s 43-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints — Chris Thompson and Adrian Peterson. Both injuries were the result of poor throws buy Alex Smith, who left the pass catchers vulnerable to big hits from defenders.
Peterson suffered a dislocated shoulder in the first half and did not have a second half carry, finishing with six yards on four rushing attempts. He is scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday.
Chris Thompson was also shaken up, suffering a rib injury on an attempted two-point conversion in the fourth quarter. He finished with a team-high six receptions for 45 yards and added eight rushes for 17 yards. (Washington Post)
