Nerdy Football Analysis: It was obvious last week that Alex Smith (calf) was limited in his mobility. Head coach Ron Rivera indicated earlier this week that Smith and Taylor Heinicke could both play in the game. Smith was limited in practice this week with Heinicke taking the majority of first team reps.
