Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware will form a committee at running back when the Chiefs visit Oakland on Sunday.
“It goes without saying, it’s still a running back by committee,” Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson said Thursday. “I think you have to use them both. Here’s two young running backs that are playing a lot and we’re getting to that time of the season where bodies are really getting sore and banged up.” (KC Star)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Not exactly the news fantasy owners want to hear. West is due back from a hamstring injury and is set to share time with Ware who got the start last week. Andy Reid typically likes to dump a good portion of the workload on one running back but with both backs performing well in recent weeks, Ware may see more short-yardage and goal line opportunities. Both RBs have deflated value heading into Week 13.
