Rueben Randle will again be Giants WR2
Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz (calf) will not play Sunday against Atlanta, reports Tom Rock of Newsday. Cruz has yet to practice through the first two weeks of the season, with recent claims suggesting he might not be ready until Week 4. Rueben Randle will start across from Odell Beckham against the Falcons, leaving Preston Parker as the No. 3 wide receiver. (CBS Sports)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Randle should be the greatest beneficiary while Cruz remains out, though he frustratingly mustered just 23 yards on three receptions in the Giants’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday. Expect an improvement this week, facing a porous Falcons’ defense that gave up 336 yards in week one. Randle is a decent WR3 while Cruz is out.
