Veteran TE will push Jesse James for targets

Nerdy Football Analysis: The 49ers had tried to trade McDonald this offseason, but they didn’t get any takers until now. The Steelers haven’t had an impact TE since Heath Miller was in his prime, but McDonald is a good athletic receiver and should push Jesse James for targets right away. He’s a TE2 with upside as a low-end TE1.
