Journeyman QB will take the reins as Justin Herbert develops
Daniel Popper (@danielrpopper) on Twitter: “These [HBO’s Hard Knocks] episodes are providing great context on why Tyrod Taylor will be starting most, if not all, of the games this season. Justin Herbert admits that sometimes the amount of information “catches up” to him. A huge jump from Pac-12 to NFL, especially with no OTAs/minicamp.” (Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Looks like Taylor gets the early nod while Herbert makes the adjustment to the NFL. Taylor can be a serviceable fantasy backup and streamer, but he’s not a priority in redrafts this year.
