Skylar Thompson, Teddy Bridgewater set to play vs. NYJ
Dolphins’ HC Mike McDaniel told reporters that Tua Tagovailoa is not a part of the team’s QB plans for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. Skylar Thompson and Teddy Bridgewater are. (ESPN – Adam Schefter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: It is the right thing to do, although it remains to be seen if Tua will be cleared to play in the wild-card round should Miami qualify for the postseason. Bridgewater will likely start if he can play through the finger injury he suffered in Week 17, which is far from a given. Given how good the Jets have been against perimeter receivers this year, it may be wise to downgrade Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in the season finale.
