InjuryThree tight ends suffer concussions Week 1

The Texans are extremely banged-up following a hard-hitting loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Texans coach Bill O’Brien said that he expects all five players to miss the game because they’re in the NFL concussion testing protocol. That includes all three tight ends, C.J. Fiedorowicz, Ryan Griffin and Stephen Anderson, middle linebacker Brian Cushing and wide receiver Bruce Ellington. (Houston Chronicle)

Nerdy Football Analysis: With the Texans playing Thursday night, there’s very little chance any of the tight ends will be available. DeAndre Hopkins saw 16 targets in Week 1 and could see a similar amount in Week 2. Jaelen Strong will also return after serving a one-game suspension.
