Repotedly fractured rib; hopeful he can play in Week 5
Tee Higgins says he does not see his rib injury keeping him out an extended period of time. Could potentially be back this week. Says a matter of soreness and pain tolerance as the rib heals. (The Athletic – Paul Dehner Jr.)
Nerdy Football Analysis: While players have played through rib fractures before, it seems unlikely that Cincinnati will push all that hard to put Higgins on the field with its offense struggling so much. Wide receiver is one position where the Bengals have some decent depth, as Tyler Boyd would likely return to a full-time role and rookie Andrei Iosivas would see his first real playing time of the year. Cincinnati’s offense has struggled to the point where no receiver outside of Ja’Marr Chase is a must-start.
