The Indianapolis Colts could be without their No. 1 receiving threat for a couple weeks.
T.Y. Hilton is day-to-day with a knee bruise, but NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports the team will be cautious with their top target. Hilton could miss one to two games, depending on how the wideout feels, per a source informed of his condition. (NFL.com)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Donte Moncrief is the next man up for the Colts, who are plenty deep at receiver and can absorb the short-term loss of a player like Hilton better than just about any other team. A two-week absence means Hilton would return in Week 4 at home against Jacksonville. In the interim, Andre Johnson should serve as the team’s top target, although he figures to have a daunting matchup in Week 2 against the Jets’ Darrelle Revis. Phillip Dorsett is also worthy of being added in all leagues as well.
