T.Y. Hilton, Eric Ebron in doubt for Week 9

InjuryCalf and ankle injuries, respectively

Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton‘s outlook for Sunday’s game against the Steelers got a little cloudier on Thursday. Hilton was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice due to a calf issue, but things took a step in the wrong direction on Thursday. Hilton was out of practice altogether. Friday will bring further word on his chances of playing in Week Nine.

That will also be the case for tight end Eric Ebron. He was not on the injury report at all on Wednesday, but was out of practice with an ankle injury on Thursday. (Pro Football Talk – Josh Alper)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Mid-week downgrades are usually problematic, so fantasy owners – especially those with Hilton since he has been a solid WR2 for most of the season – need to be prepared for the worst and have a backup plan in mind if he needs to sit this week. After a career year in 2018 with Andrew Luck, Ebron has devolved into a hit-or-miss TE2 catching passes from Jacoby Brissett.
