Returning from knee surgery
The Steelers activated receiver Sammie Coates from the physically unable to perform list, and he will participate in his first practice of training camp this afternoon at Saint Vincent College. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Sammie Coates will join the battle for Pittsburgh’s fourth receiver spot behind Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant and Eli Rogers. Coates could become valuable depth for the Steelers or another team if he is eventually cut. Needless to say, he has a long road to go before gaining fantasy relevance in 2017.
