HC Sean McVay: Targets and touches will come his way
Coach Sean McVay spent part of Monday counseling Sammy Watkins about his lack of targets and touches, and the receiver’s comments about it on social media — adding that the past two weeks have not “been indicative of his production for the rest of the season.”
“We’ll continue to try and find ways to get the ball in Sammy’s hands,” McVay said. (LA Times)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Watkins was targeted four times in Sunday’s 16-10 loss, and for only the second time in 42 NFL games, he did not catch a pass. Cooper Kupp is probably going to be the safer, more reliable fantasy receiver, but Watkins probably has more upside in favorable matchups.
