So, here is what I got out of the Matt Rhule press conference: Christian McCaffrey has a good chance to play but we will be limited on his snap count. Quarterback Sam Darnold might be active, but as a backup because his shoulder is much of an issue as his concussion. (Steve Reed on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Darnold still needs to clear concussion protocol but even if he does, his shoulder injury might keep him as the No.2 quarterback this week with P.J. Walker getting the start. McCaffrey needs to be activated on Saturday in order to play. With the Panthers and Patriots playing early, we should get some clarification from Adam Schefter late Saturday night or Sunday morning on both players.
