Bears decline to match Saints’ offer sheet
The Chicago Bears declined to match the New Orleans Saints’ two-year, $10 million offer sheet to restricted free-agent wide receiver Cameron Meredith on Wednesday.

Nerdy Football Analysis: The Saints offered Meredith a two-year deal last Thursday giving the Bears 5 days to match the offer and keep Meredith a Bear for 2018. Coming off ACL and MCL injuries in 2017, the Bears decided to let Meredith walk. Chicago has added Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel to their receiving corps this off-season but could be seeking WR help in the upcoming draft. Meredith will likely fight for opportunities as the No.2 wide receiver option with Ted Ginn Jr.
