Aaron Rodgers underwent knee surgery within days of the team’s Jan. 17 playoff loss to the Arizona Cardinals, he confirmed to ESPN on Friday night. One source described the surgery as a minor scope and a “cleanup of an old injury.”

Rodgers told ESPN that he is “doing well” and “recovering on schedule.”

Nerdy Football Analysis: Rodgers won’t be playing in the Pro Bowl as a result of the surgery but he should be ready for off-season workouts in April. Rodgers had his worst fantasy season since taking over as the Packers starter in 2008 (minus his injury-shortened 2013 season) but he still managed to finish 12th among fantasy quarterbacks in 2015. He’ll be a QB1 in drafts next summer.
