InjurySaquon Barkley, Evan Engram “have a chance” to play in Week 7

RB Saquon Barkley (ankle), RB Wayne Gallman (concussion), TE Evan Engram (knee) and WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) all took part in individual drills during the Giants’ light practice today.

Shepard is still a longshot to play Sunday. Barkley and Engram have a chance to play. (SNY – Ralph Vacchiano)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Barkley will end up missing a total of three games with a high-ankle sprain if he returns in Week 7, and the release of Jon Hilliman after the Week 6 TNF game was an indication the team believes he will be ready for the Cardinals. Engram would be primed for a huge blowup spot against the league’s worst defense against tight ends if he can go. As for Shepard, it seems reasonable he could be held out another week after suffering his second concussion of the season in Week 5.
