Kubiak says Peyton will practice Thursday
Coach Gary Kubiak told reporters that Peyton Manning sat out Wednesday’s practice because of a sore foot that has bothered the 39-year-old quarterback for a “couple weeks,” per NFL Media’s James Palmer. Kubiak said that Manning came out of Sunday’s defeat “really sore” after playing on the FieldTurf at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Broncos expect him to return to practice on Thursday.

Nerdy Football Analysis: This looks like a simple day of rest for an aging veteran who has struggled at times during the first half of the season. Peyton Manning’s sore foot isn’t going to prevent him from playing this week but it may help explain his lack of touchdown passes in recent weeks. Manning and the Broncos’ passing attack have only notched four TD receptions in their last five games.
