Retirement for the 27 year-old receiver

Wide receiver Percy Harvin has told the Buffalo Bills that he’s retiring, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Thursday.

Harvin, 27, had played for three teams since the start of the 2014 season and has seen his production dip since posting career highs in catches (87) and receiving yards (967) for the Minnesota Vikings in 2011.

Nerdy Football Analysis: Since last October, Harvin’s been on the fence about playing football. At the time, he was considering retirement due to a number of injuries including knee and hip ailments. The Bills voided the final two years of his deal making him a free agent. While Buffalo reportedly were open to bringing the 27-year old receiver back, it appears Harvin has chosen to end his career.
