Suffered MCL sprain, will not require surgery
TE Pat Freiermuth has a non-surgical MCL sprain, Mike Tomlin says.

Nerdy Football Analysis: Freiermuth will not begin the offseason healthy, but it is encouraging that he should be able to train as he normally would during the offseason starting sometime in February. Although his touchdowns dipped from seven as a rookie to two in 2022, he caught three more passes as a sophomore and gained 235 more yards. After emerging as quite possibly Kenny Pickett’s most trusted target this season, Freiermuth should be considered a top-eight option at the position heading into 2023 drafts.
