Baker Mayfield back to the bench
Panthers announce they are making another QB change: Sam Darnold replaces Baker Mayfield in starting lineup.
PJ Walker is still recovering from high-ankle sprain and Mayfield threw 2 INTs in 13-3 loss to Ravens. So interim HC Steve Wilks now going with Darnold. (Cameron Wolfe on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: This will be the third starting quarterback for the Panthers this season as they’ve largely struggled on offense especially with Mayfield at the helm. Baker went 21-33 for 196 yards and 2 INTs last week against the Ravens. This will be Darnold’s first start of the season, facing off against a Broncos defense that’s given up the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks.
