Bears/Jets RB calls it quits after 10 years
For the past 10 years, I’ve been blessed to play professionally a game that I’ve loved since I was 6 years old. But, after much prayer and reflection, I’ve decided to retire from the NFL. (Matt Forte on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Matt Forte struggled on the field and with injury the last couple seasons but did score 8 touchdowns in 2016 allowing him to finish as a low-end fantasy RB2. The Jets will move forward with Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire at running back for the time being although adding someone to the mix in free agency or the draft isn’t out of the question.
