Suffered ankle injury in Week 2
Packers are placing rookie RB MarShawn Lloyd on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. (KPRC – Aaron Wilson)
Nerdy Football Analysis: This is quickly turning into a lost season for Lloyd, who missed most of camp with a hamstring injury before making his NFL debut in Week 2. The rookie will be sidelined for at least four games, which may be enough time for Emanuel Wilson to stake his claim to the backup job for the rest of the season. If not, Chris Brooks has shown enough in limited NFL work to do so. Lloyd’s IR stint should further solidify Josh Jacobs as a bellcow runner in Green Bay.
