If Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (sports hernia) strings together a couple good days of workouts, he could be back at practice Wednesday, coach Pete Carroll said.

“From what I understand, he has a chance if those days go back to back, and he does well, that he might be in here Wednesday,” Carroll said. “We’ll see.”

Lynch is in San Francisco working out with MMA trainer Tareq Azim. He has visited the Seahawks’ facility, but is not rehabbing there. The team is communicating with Azim and his staff to determine how Lynch is doing. (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Lynch’s absence was less of an issue when rookie Thomas Rawls was tearing it up prior to his season-ending ankle injury in Week 14, but the Seahawks could muster only 60 yards in their Week 16 home loss to the Rams, including only 21 from their running backs. Seattle travels to Arizona this week, which would give owners a good idea of what they can expect from “Beast Mode” in the playoffs should he be able to suit up against the Cardinals.
