Texans locked up division and No. 4 seed in Week 16
Although Texans starting RB Lamar Miller is making progress in his recovery from an ankle injury, coach Bill O’Brien was noncommittal on his status for the regular-season finale against the Tennessee Titans.
The Texans could elect to hold Miller out for the second consecutive game to let him get healthier for the playoffs since this game against the Titans holds no playoff significance with Houston having already clinched the AFC South and the fourth seed. (Houston Chronicle)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Outside of possibly getting more comfortable with some of Tom Savage’s idiosyncrasies in live action, it doesn’t make much sense to push Miller when he’s been dealing with one injury or another for the better of the season. Alfred Blue figures to get the bulk of the carries in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans.
