GM Brian Gaine confirms Miller will start

The Texans plan to have veteran Pro Bowl running back Lamar Miller remain their lead back in 2019.

“Yes,” general manager Brian Gaine said at the NFL scouting combine when asked if Miller is going to be the starter. Miller is entering the final year of a four-year, $26 million contract and is due a $5.5 million nonguaranteed base salary. (Houston Chronicle)

Nerdy Football Analysis: There has been speculation that the Texans might be interested in Le’Veon Bell, but the team isn’t fueling those rumors. Miller battled rib and ankle injuries last season on his way to a low-end RB2 fantasy finish with 211 carries, 973 yards, 5 TDs; 25 catches, 163 rec yds, and 1 TD. We should see more of D’Onta Foreman after he spent most of last season recovering from his torn Achilles.
