Damien Williams has not practiced Wednesday or Thursday due to a bruised knee and was “limping considerably.” LeSean McCoy (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. (NFL Network – James Palmer)
Nerdy Football Analysis: HC Andy Reid mentioned earlier in the week that he wants to make sure he can trust rookie Darwin Thompson with his assignments before he gives him significant playing time. He may not have a choice if things continue down this path. Make no mistake; if Thompson gets a chance to prove he’s ready and performs as well as he did during the preseason, there’s a solid chance he will force his way into the mix. Thompson needs to be rostered in all the most shallow of leagues right now.
