HC: “Colin’s our quarterback”

After Thursday night’s dismal performance versus the Seahawks, coach Jim Tomsula declared that the 49ers’ performance was “not acceptable.” With a night to sleep on it, Tomsula is not prepared to make any drastic changes, such as benching quarterback Colin Kaepernick or altering the offensive coaching staff. “Colin’s our quarterback,” Tomsula said Friday, via the Sacramento Bee. “No controversy.” Kaepenrick continues to struggle not only with rudimentary passing elements such as accuracy, anticipation and touch, but also with protections, field vision and decision making. Nerdy Football Analysis: Kaepernick has been an all-or-nothing fantasy quarterback this season, putting together an impressive performance one week and a dud the next. He’s not worth owning unless you’re in a 2QB league, and even then is only worth starting when he has a favorable matchup.
