33-year-old veteran WR finds a home
Seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones is signing a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per source. The soon-to-be 45-year Tom Brady now will have a chance to throw to the 33-year-old Jones. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Schefter also reports that the Packers were interested but the Bucs were more aggressive in their offer. Jones has played in 19 games the last two seasons and more often than not, seems to be laboring in games he does play. That said, the landing spot is ideal especial with Chris Godwin (knee) availability for the start of the season in limbo. Julio will likely catch some WR3 value in drafts over the next couple of weeks.
