Josh Gordon back with Browns, can’t practice

InjuryMoved to active/non-football injury list

Josh Gordon returned to the Browns on Saturday with a vow to put his sobriety and mental well-being at the forefront. League spokesman Brian McCarthy told cleveland.com that Gordon’s return to the team is “part of the process. (He continues) to make progress. No timetable for the next steps.” He’ll be moved from the “did not report” list to the active/non-football injury list and will count against the roster. The Browns must clear a spot for him, and he can return to practice as soon as he’s medically cleared. (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

Nerdy Football Analysis: The key note here is that Gordon isn’t allowed to participate in practice. Gordon is allowed to take part in team meetings and conditioning sessions but can’t practice. At some point, we expect Gordon to be cleared to practice but when that will be remains a mystery.
