Receiver Josh Gordon has officially applied to the NFL for reinstatement, a necessary step in his attempt to continue to play, according to several reports Thursday.

Gordon was indefinitely suspended by the NFL on Dec. 16 for violating the league’s policies on both performance enhancing drugs and substances of abuse after having played five games for the Seahawks. (Seattle Times)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Gordon’s suspension in 2019 was the 7th of his NFL career. He’s hoping to get some clarification on his status soon and be available for training camp at the end of July. A reunion with Seattle is a possibility but a likely suspension and risk of relapse makes him an extremely risky fantasy pick.
