Eagles depleted at WR

Depleted at wide receiver, the Eagles turned to a familiar face for help, signing Jordan Matthews on Wednesday while placing starting wideout Mike Wallace on injured reserve. He was traded to the Buffalo Bills prior to the start of last season along with a third-round pick for cornerback Ronald Darby. Hampered by injury, Matthews bounced from Buffalo to New England and was released by the Patriots with an injury settlement in August. (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: The Eagles are thin at receiver with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) still week-to-week according to head coach Doug Pederson and Mike Wallace injuring his ankle in Week 2. Kamar Aiken played the majority of snaps last week along with Nelson Agholor. Matthews has typically played in the slot, so its unclear how the Eagles will utilize him given Agholor has taken to the inside position.
