Abdominal injury
The Jets fear that wide receiver Jermaine Kearse will miss Week 1 against the Lions after he underwent a medical procedure for his abdominal injury, according to sources. Although Todd Bowles recently said that Kearse is “getting better every day,” he offered no specific timetable for return. “Day-to-day, week-to-week,” Bowles said. Nerdy Football Analysis: Kearse posted 810 yards and 5 TDs last season, finishing as the WR29 in standard leagues but has largely been an afterthought in fantasy drafts this summer. Once he steps on the field, he’ll be a popular waive wire add in most leagues. If Kearse does miss time, Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa and Terrelle Pryor will be the top options in the passing game.
