A.J. Green wasn’t the only offensive star the Cincinnati Bengals lost on Sunday. RB Giovani Bernard tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and is done for the season, a person with knowledge of the injury told USA TODAY Sports. (USA Today)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Bernard was still in the game as the Bengals were running their two-minute drill with less than a minute remaining and wasn’t known to be hurt after the game, so this one comes as a bit of a shocker. Rex Burkhead (finally) may come into some fantasy relevancy – he operated as a receiver for a banged-up Cincinnati offense in the playoffs a few years ago – but Bernard’s absence leaves Jeremy Hill’s owners as big winners with this news.
