Fantasy Football Rankings: Week 4 Big Board

Fantasy Football
September 30, 2015

Are you ready to live a fantasy life without the New England Patriots?

As we dive into Week 4, we do so without the services of Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman. Oh, and the Tennessee Titans are off too, so the Marcus Mariota show goes on hold and the resurgence of Kendall Wright has to wait a week.

Meanwhile, we push forward trying to make sense of it all, and by all, I mean the long list of significant injuries to top players we’ll be dealing with throughout the week. The Buffalo Bills could be without running back LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and wide receiver Sammy Watkins (calf). The New York Jets need to get running back Chris Ivory (quad/groin) and wide receiver Eric Decker (knee) back. The Miami Dolphins need to get their offense back on track. That’s just the AFC East.

We could be looking at the return of Houston Texans running back Arian Foster (groin), Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz (calf/knee), so it’s not all bad.

However, the running back rankings will likely see another week of changes up until game time. The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to have DeMarco Murray (hamstring) back, and the Seattle Seahawks hope Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) can play after barely contributing last week.

Unfortunately, I’ve learned to expect more injuries that haven’t been reported to reach the surface during practices this week. As always, understand that the rankings for each position are put together to the best of my ability with the limited injury information we have early in the week. They’ll go through multiple changes as we learn more from practice reports.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to wait on making lineup decisions until the last possible moment. Setting your lineup early in the week won’t win you many fantasy matchups.

As always, these rankings will be updated throughout the week and right after inactives come down for the early games Sunday.
