Not expected to play in the preseason
49ers’ RB Elijah Mitchell is nursing a hamstring injury that likely will prevent him from playing in the preseason, per league source. Mitchell is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Not great. Mitchell suffered a variety of injuries last season that kept him to 11 games. He’s penciled in as the Week 1 starter but this news will likely see his (ADP RB 24, 50 Ov) drop in the coming week. As usual, the 49ers have a group of running backs for fantasy owners to take a shot on including Jeff Wilson, Tyrion Davis-Price, Trey Sermon and JaMycal Hasty.
