Jets RB Elijah McGuire, who figured to have a key role in the backfield, has suffered a fracture in his foot, source said. He’s going to require surgery and will miss an extended period. Depending on how long, he could be a candidate to return off Injured Reserve. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: McGuire was in the mix as part of the Jets three-headed running back by committee but he will unfortunately miss some if not most of the season.
