Eli Manning downplays his slump

Giants offense sputtering lately

The Giants have leaned on a surging defense to place them in prime position for a playoff berth with three games to play. While the defense shuts teams down, the offense sputters, praying Odell Beckham will bail them out. “I know I can make plays,” Manning said, via The Associated Press. “I know I can get hot. I have to keep working. I’m confident that I can go out there and have a big game.” Manning’s offense is one of five that has yet to score 30 points in a contest this season. The other four: Texans, Bears, 49ers and Browns. (NFL.com)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Eli Manning is having his worst fantasy season since 2013. He hasn’t topped 250 passing yards since week 9 and the team looks like it is settling into a cold weather, ball control offense built for post season success in the NFL playoffs which makes starting anyone in the passing game not named Odell Beckham Jr. a risky start for Week 15.
