Eagles, Sam Bradford agree on two-year deal

$26 million guaranteed

The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a two-year contract with quarterback Sam Bradford, keeping Bradford off the free-agent market without using the franchise tag.

The deal is worth $36 million, with $26 million of that guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: There were rumors and hints that new head coach Doug Pederson may take a run at free agent Chase Daniel given their KC connection but that could have been a media ploy for Bradford negotiations. Bradford was average his first year in Philadelphia playing in 14 games with 19 TDs and 14 INTs in Chip Kelly’s offense that struggled with consistency. He finished 22nd among fantasy quarterbacks in 2015 and will be firmly in QB2 territory with limited upside in 2016.
