Eagles hire Chiefs offensive coordinator

Doug Pederson was officially announced as the new coach of the Eagles on Monday.

Pederson, 47, will be introduced at a news conference Tuesday. He replaces Chip Kelly, who was fired Dec. 29, five days before the Eagles’ final regular-season game.

Nerdy Football Analysis: Pederson has been the Chiefs offensive coordinator for the past three seasons and was formerly the quarterbacks coach in Philadelphia under Andy Reid. Kansas City Quarterbacks coach Matt Nagy is inline to become the next offensive coordinator for the Chiefs while Pederson’s staff in Philadelphia remains in question.
