Matt Flynn waiting in the wings to face Jaguars in Week 16
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees said he will undergo an MRI on his foot after injuring it in the first half of the Saints 35-27 loss to the Lions on Monday night.
Brees limped to the sidelines after taking a hit and had his foot inspected and taped up by trainers. However, he never missed a snap and returned to the game shortly. (NOLA.com)
Nerdy Football Analysis: We’ll have to wait and see how the MRI shakes out. There’s nothing the Saints have left to play for, so we suspect they’ll sit him if anything is seriously wrong. Matt Flynn could be a decent plug-n-play QB if Brees misses Week 16.
